These are 2 of several blocks that I found while going through my moms stash. She has them cut out and several of each block sewn. I have no idea what either of these blocks names are. If by chance you know the names of these blocks please let me know.
Thanks for looking.

The first block has 4 names that I know of:
The Kite Quilt - Kansas City Star 1931, Arkansas Snow Flake - KC Star 1935, Arkansas Star - KC Star 1935, Star Kites - Nancy Cabot
The second one one is called "Unnamed" by OCS/Wheeler
My source is Barbara Brackman's Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns.
Thank you Julie, will turn to you if I find more...

Another name for those blocks is: Job's Tears.
They are both pretty blocks. :o)
Hope you can use them in some way?
Glad they are identified now.
Lyn, The source for the name "Job's Tears" on the first block is from Rosemary Mahken's book "Biblical Blocks".
Those are all beautifull blocks! What a gift to find those from your mother. I hope there are enough to make a quilt with!
