Dwirling on Martas quilt...

I recently discovered "Dwirling" from Dawn Rameriz's DVD and I love it... Marta let me Dwirl on her quilt--(lol, that almost sounds nasty!!) Dwirling gives so much movement in the quilt without taking away from the piecing. I love the way this one turned out...

Funny Farm is done!!

Just finished this off yesterday!! Have the binding done too but the pictures here are before binding. The needle turn process was totally new to me but I liked doing it so well that I now have 2 other projects ready to start on... One is a giraffe quilt and the other is a "Weany Dog" quilt... They are gonna be so cute--stay tuned...

Jan's quilt!

I am so thrilled with the way this quilt turned out.. Jan gave me free rein to do what ever I wanted on her quilt... This is one of the first quilts that I have taken in that had large enough areas to try "Kim Stotsenberg's" Just Leaf It. I must send Kim a big thank you because I think it turned out awesom.. Whats on my design wall...

Thought I would share just a couple of things that are on my design wall. The kites are from one of the Buggy Barn books, the "Funny Farm" is a gifted piece to me and it was my first attempt at needle turn, I liked it!! The bottom was also gifted to me but I want to finish it up and return it to her because she is such a sweet lady, just not sewing anymore...

Judy's Double Wedding Ring

Just finished Judy's DWR, the colors in this quilt are absolutely awesome, and it layed so flat, a joy to quilt it. A flower with curly q's in the center and leaves and curly q's in the rings. It really turned out nice!!

Marta's RWB

I just love Red, White and Black quilts. This one belongs to Marta, a sample quilt that we decided to do the "floopy flowers" in the center. I tried one of the designs out of one of the pocket guides by Darlene Epp, in the outer border, I love how it turned out...Thanks for looking,

This is a little quilt that I have been working on.. the pattern is a D9P, I added the kitty just for some interest. I still have the outside border to piece and get on but Im liking the way it is turning out...

Judy's Blue and White

I love how this quilt turned out!!! I like to do the tighter stitching and Judy lets me--gotta love her!! She will be up next week and I hope she likes this as much as I do... I have received a couple of comments on Facebook over this quilt--they all say its a beauty!!
