The lion quilt is almost done!!

I've been working on this off and on for almost a year. I just have to add a border then I get to put it on the machine and do some quilting. Really looking forward to this part. I want to do lots of thread play in the lion and not sure what Im going to do around the cranes or in the solid black part. Will post more pictures when I get the quilting and binding done...

Thanks for taking a peek!!

Hope you are having a great day..

Lyn

What a great looking quilt!!

The cranes remind me of origami . . . are they 3-dimensional??

Beautiful and what an excellent quilt-to-be.

Thank you all for the nice compliments. Yes the cranes are 3-dimensional--paper pieced oragami cranes. I am anxious to start on the quilting, it will be one of those free motion type of quilting projects... Lots to think about before I start on it...
Thank you again...
