I've been working on this off and on for almost a year. I just have to add a border then I get to put it on the machine and do some quilting. Really looking forward to this part. I want to do lots of thread play in the lion and not sure what Im going to do around the cranes or in the solid black part. Will post more pictures when I get the quilting and binding done...
Good morning!! This is a new customers quilt and I just love how it turned out. I did a large floopy flower in the center and then a medium sized paisley swirl in the border. I love Batiks and this was such fun to work on.... Thanks for looking... Lyn P.S. Sorry the first photo is a bit fuzzy when you enlarge it but I think you can see the quilting designs...
Wow, its been along time since I've posted anything. The heart quilt is the 2nd one that I have done for Jeri, 1st one went to DGD, and then DD had to have one for herself. I did this one a little different in the outer borders and I think it turned out awesome. The Christmas wreath is one of Marta's. I really like the way it turned out. Fun to be working on Christmas things. Thanks for looking Lyn
I finished quilting this yesterday and Im really liking the way that it turned out.. I still have the binding to pick out and do but it will be done in time for the "Art in the Woods" show. Thanks for looking, Lyn
I finished this little quilt sometime last week. One of my customers brought it over and said she wasnt enjoying it --"so you have it". I put a pink minkie on the back and tried and new quilting design (new to me), Im calling it a feather bump. Im pleased with how it turned out..
Sue and Jeri are a couple of my new customers and they have been busy creating some awesome eye candy. Jeri's hearts will be going to a DGD at college and Sue's One Block Wonder is one of her personal favorites, think she may have just the spot for it!!! Thank you for looking, Lyn
I cant believe that it has been 3 weeks since I posted.. Been a busy couple of weeks. I have had several customer quilts to do and also had to get my stuff prepped up for a couple of shows. But I did get some exciting news to me last week--I sold one of my quilts on my Etsy account--I was soooo excited. It was bought for a wedding present! I hope they like it as much as I did!!
I have a couple of upcoming customer quilts that I am really looking forward to doing!! I will post some pictures when I get them done.
Today is supposed to be a "hot" one , think Im gonna work on my lion king quilt!!
Good Morning!!! Been a while since I posted anything, been a little busy and I've been trying to stay cool in this heat!! Both quilts today belong to a couple of my customers. I still think it is like Christmas each and everytime a customer brings in a top ready to be quilted--I think Im like a kid with a new toy--lots of oohhhs and ahhhs. Love my job!!! Have a great day and thank you for looking... Lyn
Well Im home from another market--tired but happy. I sold the One Block Wonder and the Pink and Purple Country Roads. I also sold the Rooster Wallhanging but cant find a picture of it on my puter--guess you will have to look through older posts to see him...
I bought this book yesterday during the Shop Hop--Its an Elenore Burns book, Quilt in a Day, Day and Night. It was so neat that the template came with the book. Super easy to do and several different variations. I started out with a table runner just to see if I liked it, but my hidden motive is that I have a red, white and black quilt that I want to make, think this might be the pattern. Thanks for taking a look-see....
These were fun to do.. On the dark snowballs I got to try a swirly feather meander, something I had never done. Think it turned out pretty darn good, will be using it again. The Rooster was a kick to do. I put an extra layer of batting under him - then tightly did a paisley swirl. He stands out!!! Hes so darn cute, my customer has loaned me the pattern--I wanna do one too!! Thanks for looking.
I just finished these today.. These belong to one of my customers that has helped me in more ways than she knows. Besides from my mom - she has got to be one of the best hand appliquers (is that a word) that I have seen.
This a one of my favorite customers recent quilt. This quilt was made for her grandson that just graduated. If you look in the stars, I finally got to work with my circle templates. After the first block I figured out how to execute the whole star without any stops. This was a fun quilt to do and look forward to doing more with the templates. Ahhhhhh the ideas are running!!
Im on a roll today!!! Finished the 2nd customer quilt, a "One Block Wonder"--hard to believe this can be done with just one piece of material. Done in swirls in the body and in the border. Thanks for taking a look!! Lyn
I just finished this redwork quilt--first time for me to work on one. I think it turned out well, did learn a few things with it and look forward to doing another. My son stopped in and I was so proud of the cherries but all he could see was the embroidery, he was in total awe of the amount of work that goes into one.
